Be a part of Camp Matawa by volunteering your time. We realize that many of you may be interested in helping or volunteering at camp but have never had the opportunity to share your talents with us or to find out about what type of things camp is in need of. So…here’s your chance!
Send an email to matawa@ymcamke.org with your volunteer interest/ability. We’ll contact you to get you started!
Please include any of the areas that you feel would best meet your talents.
• Helping with the pond restoration project
• Assisting with carpentry projects such as building storage sheds
• Program Development
• Financial Development
• Building and Grounds
• Cultural Competence
• Board of Managers
• Fundraising for Strong Kids Scholarships or encouraging your business to become a sponsor
• Volunteering at the Parent Table during Check In
• Health Care professionals: helping with health checks during check in
• Helping with landscape upkeep during the year
• Professional services: Creating a camp video, assisting with marketing etc
• Hosting an in-house camper recruitment party
• Sitting on a parent panel during staff training or for strategic planning sessions
