YMCA Camp Matawa can meet the needs of a variety of school groups. If your program is well established and want to expand it with a change of site that may offer more variety; or if you are thinking of starting a program and need to talk about possibilities, the staff of YMCA Camp Matawa will be glad to help.
With access to over 29,000 acres of state forest it offers a remote setting for your school with comfortable and affordable accomodations and facilites all under an hours drive from the Metropolitan Milwaukee area and within a few hours of Chicagoland. We have over 130 acres of pine and oak forest adjacent to the Kettle Moraine State forest and have been serving guests since 1996. During this time we have invested over $1.5 million dollars in facility improvements and state-of-the-art cabins and camp Matawa is fully accessible.
We have professional staff and personnel to assist schools in program development and cooperatively teach outdoor education classes. Staff will work closely with teachers, parents and students to custom fit a program that provides an optimum learning experience.
